Lovejoy Saga Couplings
Saga is a versatile coupling designed to handle various forms of misalignment with exceptional tolerance. The design incorporates hexagonal or octagonal rubber elements resembling donuts, each featuring metal inserts strategically positioned at apexes during the vulcanization process. These metal inserts house real bolts that secure the element to tines on cylindrical hubs.
Embedded inserts also include tines that engage with mating surfaces on the hubs, enabling straightforward torquing of axial bolts during assembly without causing excessive deformation of the rubber beyond its elastic limits. The rubber between each apex is pre-compressed, enhancing its durability against the stresses stemming from different types of misalignment and torsional vibrations.
