Mayr EAS-axial Torque Limiters

The EAS-axial is a torque-limiting clutch with a positive-locking disengagement feature.

In the event of a blockage within the system (an overload situation), the force required to release it surpasses the preset value, causing the EAS-axial to disengage. This disengagement involves the shifting of a pin, which in turn pushes the shifting segments outward, releasing the rigid connection between the element and the bolt.

Following disengagement, a residual force equal to 15-20% of the preset value persists. Re-engagement occurs automatically upon system restart by either pulling back or pushing the bolt back to its original position.
