Mayr ROBA-diskstop Brakes

The ROBA-diskstop bake is a spring-applied, electromagnetic safety brake.

Spring applied function:

In de-energized conditions, the thrust springs press the armature disk against the brake disk. The brake disk is held between the friction pads.

Electromagnetic:

Due to the magnetic force of the coil in the coil carrier, the armature disk is attracted against the spring pressure of the coil carrier. The brake is released and the brake disk can rotate freely.
