Mayr ROBA-servostop Brakes

The ROBA-servostop is an enclosed-loop electromagnetic safety brake.

The installation can be performed on both the motor's A-bearing side and B-bearing side, with the assurance that temperature fluctuations and bearing play will not adversely affect the brake's performance and dependability.

In the closed brake position, the rotor is gripped between the armature disk and the flange plate through the friction linings. Activating the solenoid's current generates a magnetic field that pulls the armature disk toward the coil carrier, counteracting the spring's force, and resulting in the brake's release.
