Pump Packing Seals

Pump Packing seals, referred to as compression packing seals are devices used to create a seal between a reciprocating or rotating shaft and the housing of a pump or other equipment. They are engineered to prevent the leakage of fluids, such as liquids or gases, from the equipment while allowing the shaft to move.

Pump packing seals are widely used for sealing applications in various industries, although they are being gradually replaced by mechanical seals in many up-to-date applications due to their improved efficiency and reliability.
