The Heavy Series roller chains set themselves apart from the ASME/ANSI standard series by featuring link plates that are notably thicker and longer pins. In fact, these link plates possess the same thickness as the link plates found in ASME/ANSI chains with the next larger pitch.

The increased thickness of these link plates offers a higher capacity, capable of absorbing shock loads more effectively, with approximately a 10% greater capacity. These chains are particularly well-suited for applications involving heavy loads or harsh operating conditions.
