Douglas Take-Ups
Douglas Take-Ups features Acme AKK thread rod standard, a good solution for mechanical take-ups. The thickness and width perform better in case of dirt and contamination existence. Mechanical take-ups use threaded rods and nuts to create displacement of the pulley assembly. The take-up on belt conveyors is a key component in maintaining proper belt tension, which contributes to effective belt tracking and overall conveyor performance.
We offer a wide selection of Take-Ups available in seven styles: Slide Tube, Heavy Duty Top Mount, Light Duty Top Mount, Top Angle, Center Pull, Scissors Pivot Gravity, and Wide Slot Slide Mount Take-Up Assembly.
Types of Take-Ups

Slide Tube - Low-cost ball or roller bearing take-up frame that is tough and dependable, with a space-saving design.

Heavy Duty Top Mount - Traditional take-up frame that is designed for harsh applications. The extra heavy welded steel construction help ensure durability and dependability in the toughest applications.

Light Duty Top Mount - Low-cost take-up frame with an adjustable two-piece saddle design that can accommodate a wide range of 2 bolt pillow block ball bearings.

Top Angle - Traditional take-up frame, where the bolted top angle protects the threaded rod and allows for relatively simple bearing removal and replacement.

Center Pull - Traditional take-up frame that is suitable for a variety of applications. The center pull gets its name from the threaded rod in the center of the frame.
- Scissors Pivot Gravity - Take-up system that includes a standard assembly consisting of 3 pulley assemblies, a lever arm, and support chains.
