Guided Wave Radar Level Transmitters NGM

NGM series of guided wave radar level transmitters also known as guided microwave or guided wave radar is working with the technology of time domain reflectometry (TDR).

Low energy and high-frequency electromagnetic impulses, generated by the sensor’s circuit are extended along the probe, then merged in the liquid to be measured. When these impulses hit the media's surface, part of the impulse energy is reflected up the probe to the circuitry. Afterward, the level is calculated from the time difference between the impulses sent and the impulses reflected. The NGM transmitters can transmit the level as a 4-20 mA analog output or they can transform the values into a freely programmable switching output signal.
