Shell Type Needle Roller Bearings

Shell type of needle roller bearings is lightweight, low profile, and radial style bearings designed for either high speeds or heavy loads depending on the configuration. An outer ring that is made of high-strength steel features a streamlined profile with the lowest sectional height of all the needle roller bearings. Shell-style bearings are available in caged and full complement types:

Caged bearings are ideal for high-speed rotation. They have needle rollers accurately guided by a cage and thrust rings. 

Full complement bearings are ideal for heavy loads and low-speed rotation. They are press-fit into the housing and do not require any fixtures for axial positioning, offering an economical option for mass-produced products.
