The S-Flex Endurance coupling is constructed from three main components. It consists of two flanges with internal teeth that engage with an elastomeric flexible sleeve featuring external teeth. Each flange attaches to its respective driver and driven shaft, and torque transmission occurs through the flanges via the sleeve. The coupling effectively absorbs misalignment and torsional shock loads by means of shear deflection within the sleeve. This shear property of the S-Flex Endurance coupling is particularly well-suited to dampen impact loads.

Lovejoy's S-Flex Endurance coupling offers various combinations of flanges and sleeves that can be configured to match your specific application requirements. There are thirteen sizes available, with torque capacities ranging from 60 in-lbs (6.78 Nm) to 72,480 in-lbs (8189 Nm). The S-Flex flanges are available in five different models, constructed from either zinc die-cast or cast iron. Additionally, sleeves come in three materials: EPDM rubber, Neoprene, or Hytrel, catering to a diverse range of application needs.
