Magnatrol Type “NR” Reduced Port Bronze Solenoid Valve
The NR” type Reduced Port is a normally closed bronze solenoid valve with 1/2” to 3/4” pipe sizes. The maximum fluid temperature is 212°F, and the maximum static pressure is 300 PSI.
They are engineered to control the flow of steam, hot liquids, hot gases, cryogenics, and many other fluids that are not reactive with construction materials and are free of sediment.
Cryogenic fluids include Liquid Oxygen (-297°F), Liquid Argon (-303°F), and Liquid Nitrogen (-320°F). The solenoid valve operates from zero to the maximum differential pressure range specified in the catalog. This solenoid valve must be mounted in a horizontal pipe with a solenoid enclosure vertical and on top.
The valve opens when energized and closes when de-energized. The plunger in this direct-acting valve lifts the steam from its conical seat.
