Bridge rectifiers and half-wave rectifiers serve as the link between AC power sources and DC loads, such as electromagnetic brakes and clutches (including ROBA-stop, ROBA-quick, ROBATIC), solenoids, electro valves, contactors, safe-to-switch-on DC motors, and more.
They convert incoming AC voltage into a form suitable for operating DC-powered devices. Additionally, they play a vital role in curbing voltage spikes that arise when turning off inductive loads, thereby mitigating the risk of damage to insulation and contacts while also reducing contact load.
