Mayr EAS-dutytorque Torque Limiters

The EAS-dutytorque is a safety clutch that provides positive locking and disengagement, and it operates using the ball-sink principle.

This clutch serves to safeguard the drivetrain from potentially damaging torque spikes caused by unexpected obstructions. During regular operation, the preset torque is conveyed from the hub through the pressure flange or flange hub to the output. Should the preset torque limit be exceeded, the clutch disengages. During this disengagement process, the pins within the overload elements undergo an axial movement (stroke) and stay in the disengaged state. Re-engagement must be carried out manually.
