Mayr EAS-HT Torque Limiters

The EAS-HT is a torque-limiting clutch that employs the ball-recess principle to provide positive locking and disengagement features.

During its normal operation, it efficiently transfers the predetermined torque from the hub to the output via either the pressure flange or the flange hub. In the event that the preset torque limit is exceeded, which represents an overload situation, the clutch disengages. This disengagement process involves an axial movement or "stroke" of the pins within the overload components, and they remain in the disengaged position. This allows trailing masses to move freely. To restore engagement, manual intervention is necessary.
