Mayr EAS-smartic Torque Limiters

The EAS-smartic is a mechanical safety clutch that operates positively, relying on the ball-recess principle.

This clutch serves as a protective measure for the drive train, guarding it against potentially harmful torque spikes that may arise due to unexpected obstructions. In the event that the preset torque limit is surpassed, signifying an overload situation, the clutch disengages and leaves a residual torque of approximately 5% to a maximum of 20% of the set torque. Following the resolution of the overload, the clutch automatically re-engages once it reaches the 360° re-engagement position.
