Mayr ROBA-duplostop Brakes
The ROBA-duplostop represents a redundant safety brake system designed specifically for elevator drives.
This electromagnetic safety brake relies on a quiescent current for activation. When in the de-energized state, coil springs apply pressure to the armature disks, effectively immobilizing the rotor between these disks and the machine's corresponding screw mounting surface. Consequently, the motor shaft is securely braked by the rotor.
Upon energizing the current, a magnetic field is established, causing the armature disks to move against the spring's resistance toward the coil carrier. This action releases the rotor, allowing the shaft to rotate freely without hindrance.
