Mayr ROBA-linearstop P Brakes

The ROBA-linearstop is intended for applications involving linear motion. It can be utilized in situations where there is an available piston rod or can be additionally attached. Its primary purpose is to prevent unintended descending or dropping of gravity-loaded axes.

The ROBA-linearstop in its pneumatic version, Type 381.0, is designed as a clamping unit and is well-suited for EMERGENCY STOP braking. Meanwhile, the pneumatic variant, Type 381.1, is also suitable for dynamic braking.

Operation Mechanism

The ROBA-linearstop pneumatic operates as a safety brake that relies on pneumatic pressure.

In a de-energized state, springs exert force on a clamping component, effectively securing the piston rod in place.

Upon applying the required operating pressure, the spring force is released, allowing for the movement of the piston rod.
