Mayr ROBA-secustop Brakes

The ROBA-secustop is an electromagnetic safety brake with fail-safe capabilities, and it activates when the DC supply current is interrupted.

In the first circuit, the braking force is produced by the compression springs pressing against the armature disc, establishing a frictional link between the rotor's friction linings, the armature disk, and either the flange plate or the machine's wall.

In the second circuit, the braking force is generated between the friction linings of a secondary rotor, the armature disk, and the coil carrier from the first circuit. The brake is disengaged via electromagnetic means.
