Mobil SHC Rarus Series Compressor Oils

Mobil SHC Rarus is a synthetic air compressor oil that meets the demands of today’s severe service conditions. They are designed to protect vane and rotary screw air compressors in high final compression temperatures or extended oil drain intervals – where other synthetic oils do not meet service life expectations. 

Mobil SHC Rarus series are formulated to deliver up to three times longer oil drain intervals than other synthetic air compressor lubricants. The oils have showcased their capability by performing effectively for up to 24,000 hours in practical field tests. The oils also have the ability to:

Typical Applications

• Suitable for vane and rotary screw air compressor

• Suitable for high-temperature operation, with discharge temperatures up to 200ºC

• Compressor systems with critical gears and bearings

• Not intended for air compressors utilized in breathing air applications.

• Compatible with all metals commonly employed in compressor construction and with traditional mineral oil-based air compressor oils. However, blending it with other oils may reduce the overall performance capacity.
