Piston Seals

A piston seal is a type of hydraulic seal designed to maintain sealing contact between the piston and the cylinder bore. These seals are classified into single-acting (pressure acting on one side only) and double-acting (pressure acting on both sides) seals. It is essential to maintain a tight seal to prevent fluid flow past the piston in both dynamic and static conditions. Simultaneously, the piston seal must permit a controlled oil film to reduce friction and minimize wear.
