The DRP+ DualDRIVE & TwinDRIVE features a monoblock housing suitable for universal mounting. These DRP+ planetary gearboxes serve as the dedicated solution for ZERO-BACKLASH rack & pinion and rotary table drive applications.

They comprise two high-quality planetary reducers arranged in parallel within an exceptionally sturdy universal housing. Two integral output pinions engage with the rack, allowing for system preloading and optimizing Stiffness on Rack. When opting for the mechanical preload solution, the DRP+ transforms into a DualDRIVE unit, achieving ZERO-BACKLASH by torsionally interlocking one pinion with the other via the rack. This setup simplifies motor control, as only one motor is needed to drive the axis.

The DRP+ transitions into a TwinDRIVE when an Electrical preload solution is applied to eliminate backlash. In this scenario, two motors come into play: one for driving the axis and the other for preloading the axis, effectively canceling out any backlash.
