Renold Dual Lead Adjustment

Ren-Adjust is a new high-precision adjustment mechanism developed by Renold Gears. It is specially designed for dual lead gear sets used in positional machinery that require high accuracy. Examples of such machinery include rotary tables and machine tools. The system ensures quick and accurate operation, reducing downtime whenever an adjustment needs to be made.

Drop-in Replacement

The new Ren-Adjust has been designed as a simple replacement mechanism for existing machinery. They are engineered to be compatible with a wide range of machinery such as machine tools and rotary tables. 

Being a like-for-like component, Ren-Adjust can be easily integrated into existing designs without the need for extensive modifications. This feature offers convenience and flexibility to manufacturers and operators who wish to upgrade their machinery to benefit from the precision and accuracy provided by Ren-Adjust.

Simple Adjustment

Ren-Adjust allows for a precise adjustment without removing the worm shaft or drains oil. It provides a fast and easy operation cutting adjustment to a minimum. The first step is to remove the shrink disc to adjust the backlash. This action allows the worm shaft to move independently from the adjustment sleeve. By turning the captive screw, the dual lead worm shaft is axially moved, which in turn adjusts the working backlash.

During this adjustment process, operators or technicians can monitor the backlash and make incremental adjustments until it reaches an acceptable level. Once the desired backlash is achieved, the shrink disc is re-applied, securing the position of the adjustment sleeve and preventing unintended movement. The size range of the Ren-Adjust mechanism covers center distances from 67 - 500mm.
