Thomas S71-8 Disc Couplings

The Rexnord Thomas S71-8 spacer-type disc couplings are general-purpose high-speed, high-torque couplings. They are engineered for use on motor, turbine, and gear-driven pumps, compressors, and blowers and when specified can meet all API 610 or API 671 requirements.  

The S71-8 series features a straightforward three-piece design, comprising a unitized center member assembly and two piloted hubs. These couplings are available with Black Oxide, Zinc, Cadmium, or Manganese Phosphate coatings. The hubs are piloted to fit the factory-assembled center member, facilitating easy component assembly for improved dynamic balance characteristics. The center assembly easily 'drops out', allowing for rapid installation or removal without the need for special tools.

• 8-bolt design with 12 sizes (S71 series: 4-bolt design with 2 sizes, 6-bolt design with 9 and 12 sizes)

• Maximum continuous torque loads: up to 838,800 lb-in (S71 series: 91,700 lb-in) 

• Shaft diameters: up to 10.812 inches (S71 series: up to 7.810 inches)
