Washdown AC motors are intended to be used in high humidity and wet environments where equipment needs to be regularly hosed down and cleaned during washdown procedures, such as pharmaceutical, food & beverage, chemical, and other similar industries. The bearings of these motors are lubricated with moisture-resistant grease for further washdown protection.
