Autonics PRD12-4DN - Cylindrical long distance Inductive proximity sensor

The Autonics PRD12-4DN is designed for flush installation with a sensing side diameter of Ø12 mm and a sensing distance of 4 mm. It features a hysteresis of up to 10% of the sensing distance and is calibrated for a standard sensing target of 12 × 12 × 1 mm iron. The unit operates at 12–24 VDC (with ripple tolerance) and 10–30 VDC, drawing ≤10 mA, and delivers a control output of up to 200 mA with a residual voltage of ≤1.5 V. A red operation indicator LED provides status feedback. It is protected by surge, short-circuit, and reverse polarity protections, and offers insulation resistance ≥50 MΩ at 500 VDC, dielectric strength of 1,500 VAC 50/60 Hz for 1 minute, along with vibration (1.0 mm at 10–55 Hz in X, Y, Z for 2 hours) and shock (50 G, 3 times in each axis) ratings. Operating temperature ranges from -25 to 70 °C (storage -30 to 80 °C) and humidity from 35 to 95% RH (no freezing or condensation), with IP67 protection. The device uses a cable connection with standard PVC black cable, and the housing is made of nickel-plated brass (sensing side Ø8 mm connector case SUS303), washer from nickel-plated iron, and sensing side PBT. Package weight is about 62 g (74 g including packaging).
