Ringfeder produced TNZ ZCAF/TNZ ZCBF gear couplings are made of high-quality steel which is suitable for the usage of temperatures up to +120 °C if special seals are used. They are mostly utilized in the direct drive of conveyor systems, mixers, rolling mills or roller tables. As flexible shaft connections, Ringfeder manufactured Gear Couplings transmit the torque positively by means of hubs with crowned teeth, which are constantly in mesh with the straight-toothed tooth sleeves. They are characterized by extremely high power densities and, depending on the coupling variant, are also suitable for the effective compensation of axial, radial and angular shaft misalignments.

Toothing

The coupling has a straight internal toothing, while the hubs have the same toothing with a chased variable radius. It gives the hubs an opportunity to move spatially within the housing providing radial, axial and angular misalignments. According to the type and size of the coupling the standard toothing permits an angular misalignment of up to 0.5 degrees per toothing-plane and an axial movement of several millimetres. And what about the radial misalignment, it depends on the distance between the two toothing planes. 

Materials

The usage of high-quality grease provides the proper operation and long lifespan of the product. The utilized material is forged steel with an apparent yielding point of at least 335 N/mm2. There can be used special types of material for the specific applications. 

Special Applications

In case of greater misalignments at higher torques and speeds, a special examination should be implemented performed with the assistance of a special computing programme. This is independent of the determined size. The value TKmax may not be exceeded in any state of operation (start-up, electrical short circuit, blocking, etc.).

Tolerances and Standards

The bore tolerance is ISO H7, if not differently ordered. The bore diameters listed refer to keyways to DIN 6885-1 with wide toleranz ISO P9.

Temperature

The temperature of coupling usage is suitable to raise up to 120 °C.

Balance

The proper and advisable balance is preferred to be until 30 m/s.
