Gear Couplings TNZ ZCAZ/TNZ ZCBZ

Ringfeder TNZ ZCAZ model of gear couplings are complemented with a spacer that is mounted between the sleeves of a TNZ ZCA coupling by using fitted bolts. The spacer is intended to accommodate larger distances between the shafts ends, and can be mounted and dismounted radially without having to move the connected machines.

Ringfeder TNZ ZCBZ model of gear couplings are equipped with a bolt-on O-ring carrier which facilitates installation by changing the mounting sequence.  These are complemented with a spacer mounted between the sleeves of a TNZ ZCB coupling by using fitted bolts.

 

General Features

Toothing

Covers of the coupling have a straight internal toothing and the hubs have an external toothing with a chased variable radius. The result shows that hubs can move spatially within the cover making angular, radial or axial shaft offset of the adjoined shaft ends within specified tolerances.  Depending on the size and/or type of the coupling, the standard toothing makes an angular displacement up to 0.5 degrees per toothing-plane and an axial movement of several millimetres. The max. possible radial shaft displacement is dependent on the distance between the two toothing planes. Other toothing geometries can be utilized for further specific applications.



Materials

High-grade tooth profiles and grease with ultra high-pressure additives guarantee low-restoring forces and a long lifespan of the coupling. The material used is fabricated steel with an apparent yielding point of at least 335 N/mm2. It is also possible to use special material for some specific applications. The sealing process is implemented by O-ring synthetic rubber. The covers are centred and held together by fit-bolts and self-locking nuts.

 

Special Applications

The coupling should be checked if greater misalignments are intended to implement at higher speeds and torques. The whole process is done with the help of some computing programmes. All depend on the determined size. The value TKmax may not be exceeded in any state of operation (electrical short circuit, start-up or blocking).

 

Tolerances and Standards

The bore tolerance is ISO H7, if not differently ordered. The listed bore diameters  refer to keyways to DIN 6885-1.


Temperature

The use of special seals permits the temperature limit to be raised to 120 °C.

 

Balance

At peripheral speeds upwards of 30 m/s it is advisable to dynamically balance the coupling.
